US dollar mixed, gold lower in European morning trading

The euro traded at US$1.5607, down from US$1.5686 late Thursday in New York.

Gold traded in London at US$883.50 per troy ounce, down from US$891.10 late Thursday.
In Zurich, gold traded at US$882.35 bid per troy ounce, down from US$891.20.
Silver opened in London at US$16.69, down from US$16.78.
